What is the Morgen Calendar?

Morgen Calendar is a calendar platform performing three main tasks: providing you with a calendar, managing your tasks, and scheduling meetings with team members. You will get the combination of a daily planner and calendar on this app. Additionally, it allows you to download it on different devices such as Windows, Linux, Mac, iOS, and Android mobiles. 

It allows you to sync your calendars from different sources, including Google, Outlook, iCloud, Fast Mail, and others. This integration elevates your calendar experience by providing you with an intuitive and productive interface compared to your regular personal or work calendars.

Furthermore, Morgen allows you to seamlessly sync your tasks. You can add all of your basic or professional tasks in Morgen by either integrating your existing task management app or creating tasks directly on the calendar.

Moreover, Morgen supports integration with video conferencing platforms, allowing you to schedule meetings with your clients or enable them to make bookings with you. Morgen also facilitates team collaboration by enabling team members to sync their calendars in one place. This helps in booking internal meetings.

How to Use Morgen?

Using Morgen is really simple as it has a beautiful UI/UX interface, making your digital calendar experience quite enjoyable. You don't need extensive tutorials to use this tool as it has a clean interface and self-explanatory options. You just have to follow a few simple steps to manage your Morgen Calendar.

Step 1: The first thing is you need to sign up. You can do it either by signing up through Google or by using the email. 

Step 2: It will ask you the purpose of using the Morgen Calendar. Choose any option to proceed.

Step 3: The interface will provide you with the list of integrations you can use in Morgen. Choose any if you want.

Step 4: Now, download the Morgen app. Once you complete downloading it, launch it on your device.

Step 5: When you open the application, it will ask you to sign in. Once you do it, you have to connect your existing calendar. Otherwise, you can use the Morgen in-build calendar.

Step 6: Connect tasks management apps, and conference scheduling apps of your choice. Otherwise, you can opt for Morgen's in-build task management and video conferencing tools.

Step 7: Personalize your experience by defining the time zone, a regional format, and the first day of the work week.

Step 8: Finally, you are on the interface. On one side of the screen, you can see the calendar. And on the other, the list of tasks along with settings for adding your tasks and scheduling your meetings.

Key Features of Morgen

Adding Tasks

Adding multiple tasks on Morgen is straightforward. Simply double-click on any slot in the calendar to create a new task. 

For example, to add the schedule of a daily gym session from 7 am to 8 am, double-click on the 7 am Monday time block on the calendar. When you do, Morgen will prompt you to add a new task. 

You will be asked to name your task (e.g., Gym Workout), specify the time frame and time zone, select if you want to repeat the task daily, set when you want to get the notification reminder of this task (e.g., 30 minutes before the start time), and when you want to end this task (e.g., 8 am).

Repeating the same process, you can set multiple basic Morgen tasks in the calendar. Along with it, you can integrate your task management apps with Morgen to drag and drop your tasks from there into Morgen.

While Morgen’s tasks are simple to set, it currently requires manual input and editing of each task. It means you have to manually set tasks every time there is any change in your schedule. Automated task creation is under development, but currently, manual entry can be time-consuming.

Multiple Integrations

Morgen allows third-party tool integrations of different types to perform various tasks. Though the list is not as long as Sunsama and Akiflow, it is sufficient. 

This calendar allows integration with video conferencing tools like Zoom, Google Meet, and Microsoft Teams. Additionally, you can integrate with different calendars and task management apps such as ClickUp, Google Tasks, Notion, Todoist, and others. If you don't find your task management platform in the list, you can select Zapier for custom integration.

Meeting Scheduler

Let's suppose you want to schedule a meeting with your client. For this, Morgen allows a meeting scheduler option in the paid plan, a bit similar to Calendly.

To schedule a meeting, you can select a specific time frame on the calendar and add the meeting name along with the name and email ID of the person whom you want to do the meeting with. You can even add any of your team members as a co-host if you want. Morgen will send the meeting schedule request to that person’s email. Once they accept your meeting request, it will be officially added to your Morgen’s tasks list.

Time Blocking

As a student, freelancer, or professional, you may be facing issues of focusing on tasks. There are digital distractions around us, such as notifications from social apps, that can disrupt your workflow. To resolve this issue, Morgen has introduced a time-blocking feature. Now, you can set a time block for a specific task on your calendar in the same way you add the task. During your time block, Morgen will ensure there is no digital distraction interrupting your workflow.

Keyboard Shortcuts

Morgen allows a variety of keyboard shortcuts for users to schedule their tasks and meetings. These shortcuts have made the whole process of scheduling quite simple and faster, eliminating the frequent use of your mouse.

Open Invites

This option is best for entrepreneurs, coaches, and freelancers. Morgen allows you to create a customized booking page for inviting your clients to do meetings with you. 

To launch it, you can select multiple slots of different days on your calendar. Make sure you are free in those slots for clients to book your time. Then, generate an open invite link from Morgen, and share the link with your clients. Through that link, your client can see your free slots, and book any time slot of yours.

Though this booking option is cool, it is of a basic level. You can't ask any questions from your client before booking, as Morgen doesn't have this option.

Inviting Team

Morgen’s paid plan allows you to add your team members to your interface. Your team can sync their calendars and schedules in one place, book meetings together, create an internal meeting schedule, and sync their tasks for effective team collaboration. 

Morgen Assist

Morgen Assist is a pretty new concept in this app, designed to streamline custom workflows. It offers various tools to create and manage workflows effectively.

For example, there is a “Team Focus” tool in Morgen Assist that reschedules your team’s flexible meetings. Another amazing feature is calculating travel time to and from an event.

Morgen Assist is continuously evolving, with exciting new tools coming soon. They include a Dynamic time blocks feature that may allow the auto-scheduling of tasks. 

Mobile App

You can download the Morgen Mobile app on iOS and Android mobiles to use it. Unfortunately, this app is not practical to use in the free plan. You can't make any changes in your mobile app and can't access your to-do list. So, you have to rely on the web browser app for this purpose.

However, in the paid version, you can have all of your tasks, team members, and scheduling options on your mobile. So, you can access these features anywhere you want.

Pricing Plan of Morgen Calendar

This calendar app has three main pricing tiers, suitable for everyone.

Free: In this free forever plan, you can use all the features of desktop apps. It allows one calendar integration, unlimited Morgen tasks, and Open invites. You can't integrate other apps or add your team members to this plan. That’s why, it is best for personal use or freelancers.

Pro: If you go for a monthly plan, it is 15 dollars per month. But, if you go for a yearly plan, it is only 9 dollars per month. In it, you can get access to all the features without any limit. That's why it is best for businesses.
Enterprise: You get custom pricing options in this plan. It involves everything in the pro with custom workflows, multi-team management, premium support, SSO, and dedicated cloud.
