Amplifying human potential with AI: Meet the founder of MAGMA Learning

| Published in Interviews

In a world where artificial intelligence is increasingly revolutionizing the education sector, MAGMA Learning sets itself apart by pushing back the boundaries of personalized learning. Founded by Maxime Gabella with the vision of optimizing human intelligence through AI, this platform goes far beyond simple automated recommendations. In fact, MAGMA Learning draws on synergies between biological and artificial neural networks to offer an unprecedented experience of memorizing and applying knowledge. In this interview, we talk to the founder of MAGMA Learning, who shares the inspirations behind this adventure, his outlook on the evolution of education through AI, and the challenges faced in making this project accessible to an ever-wider audience.

What inspired you to create MAGMA Learning?

Our mission is to level up human intelligence with artificial intelligence. We believe that AI has the power to transform how we learn by making it much more effective and impactful throughout our lives. MAGMA Learning was born from a desire to focus AI on amplifying human potential and furthering the development of consciousness.

How does MAGMA Learning stand out from other intelligent learning platforms?

MAGMA Learning has trained an AI to understand the process of human learning. Our AI is designed to model and adapt to the specific ways in which each person learns, making learning more personalized and impactful. Unlike other platforms that may offer AI-inspired features like recommendations or content generation, our approach is firmly grounded in the synergies between artificial and biological neural networks, ensuring that learning is not only more effective but also more relevant and applicable.

What are the main problems that MAGMA Learning solves for users?

One of the biggest challenges in learning is retention. How much of what you learn stays with you months later? Without retention, it’s impossible to apply new knowledge in real-world situations. MAGMA Mentor, our flagship app, strengthens memory retention and reinforces knowledge application by guiding each learner through a personalized learning journey. This approach helps users move beyond passive learning to actively using what they’ve learned, ensuring long-term success.

How does the tool adapt to the individual needs of learners?

MAGMA Mentor is built to continuously adapt to each learner’s unique cognitive profile, tracking knowledge levels, memory abilities, and individual motivations. By updating this profile in real-time, the AI knows precisely which content will best support each learner’s progress at any given moment. MAGMA Mentor maximizes learning performance by always showing the most beneficial material.

Is the tool designed for a specific audience, such as students or professionals?

MAGMA Mentor is versatile and designed for a broad range of learners, from students in academic settings to professionals in corporate training programs, as well as individuals committed to lifelong learning. Whether in education, business, or personal growth, our AI adapts to each context to support continuous development and skill enhancement.

How does the tool manage the protection of users' personal data?

All personal data is strictly used to personalize and enhance each user's learning experience. We adhere to rigorous data protection standards and store data securely on protected servers, ensuring that users’ information remains confidential and used solely to improve their learning outcomes.

How would you describe your leadership style as the founder of MAGMA Learning?

I believe in a leadership approach that is collaborative, creative, and constantly curious. I encourage my team to explore new ideas, push boundaries, and work together to solve complex problems. By fostering a culture with creativity as the main value, I aim to empower each collaborator to contribute uniquely to our mission of enhancing human intelligence through AI.

What is your personal philosophy for maintaining innovation within your company?

Innovation thrives in an environment where learning is the central objective. Personally, I stay balanced by running, playing chess, and playing Bach on the piano. These activities stimulate my brain and body in a different way and inspire me with original solutions to any problem I’m facing.

What are the biggest challenges you have encountered as the leader of MAGMA Learning?

One of our biggest challenges has been achieving broad visibility and reaching a wider audience. Despite having a unique and impactful solution, making people aware of our mission and the value of our approach remains an ongoing effort. We are actively working to expand our reach and demonstrate how MAGMA Learning can make a meaningful difference in both individual learning and organizational training contexts.
