One survey from Rand proves that teachers are twice as likely to experience burnout than any other working adult. Similarly, a 2022 Gallup Poll revealed that 44 percent of American K-12 teachers and 35 percent of college and university professors in the United States reported feelings of burnout.

According to them, the major culprit for their declining health is the heavy workload. Unfortunately, teachers don't get free time even when they are done for their day. Beyond their classroom hours, they are burdened with planning, grading, writing, and other tasks to keep their students engaged in learning. This leaves them with little to no free time, further impacting their mental and physical health.

But, what if I tell you there is a free Chrome extension that can help you in avoiding burnout? The name of this tool is Brisk Teaching.

What is Brisk Teaching?

Brisk Teaching is a free Chrome Extension designed to enhance the efficiency of educators by simplifying their interaction with digital content and managing classroom tasks. You can integrate these 30 tools in Google Docs, Google Slides, Chrome, Google Classroom, Schoology, Canvas, and similar others. These tools of Brisk will help you with various tasks, including creating slides and presentations, grading papers, sending feedback to students, generating syllabi and quizzes, and detecting AI or plagiarism in students’ papers, among others. This tool also allows you to share interactive activities with your learners, helping you in tracking their progress.

In short, Brisk Teaching covers every aspect of an educator’s life and saves them more than 10 hours a week. Due to its versatility and quality tools, it is trusted in over 20,000 districts by more than 900,000 educators.

How to Use Brisk Boost for Students?

Brisk Boost is the newest feature of Brisk Teaching, helping teachers and students in making learning interactive and engaging. This feature helps in boosting any sort of online content, converting it into an engaging activity. It includes articles, slides, YouTube videos, Podcasts, or any other content.

For example, you read an article and decided to make it a part of your classroom. You want your learners to read and understand this article. So, what you can do is click on the Brisk Teaching extension icon, and select the student boosting option to land on the setting page.

Over there, you have to select the grade level of your learners and language and choose one academic standard from different ones. The best thing is you don't need to choose the language of the original content, in fact, choose the one your students are most comfortable with.

In types of activities, you will see four options: Engage, Access, Write, and Reflect. You can go on any option to choose the activity type.

In the “Engage” option, you will see various other options too. Among them, you can select an AI tutor. Once you do it, the AI will generate the learning objectives and what role it will play in helping students learn. You can edit those objectives and roles as you want.

Once it is done, you have to share the activity with students. For this, create the classroom, give it a name, and add the Gmail IDs of students to make their group. In this way, they will get the link to the activity in their email that they have to click on to start doing the activity. Otherwise, you can manually share the link and passcode with students in the Google Classroom or any other LMS platform.

When students open the activity, they can chat with AI. Brisk AI will guide them, and provide them with activities to fulfill the learning goals and its role.
